Dissemination of scientific information and inculcation of scientific attitude among masses at large is the need of the hour. A science writer/ science communicator has an important role to play to develop a scientifically informed and attitudinally rational society, by way of interpretation of scientific knowledge and scientific concepts to the public through the use of mass media, be it print, broadcast, folk, interactive or digital. Thus, a science writer/ science communicator plays a key role in enhancing the level of public understanding of science.
